BILI Officially Presented the Transparent Parliamentary Appointments Initiative Project

On 28.02.2014  the Bulgarian Institute for Legal Initiatives held a public meeting on the occasion of the start of the Transparent Parliamentary Appointments Initiative (TPAI). The duration of this project is between February 2014 and April 2015. It is executed with a grant by the NGO Programme in Bulgaria under the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism. The TPAI has two main objectives: (1) to advance the capacity of Bulgarian Institute for Legal Initiatives for civic monitoring and advocacy campaigns management and (2) to propose resolutions to overcome the deficits of high-profile public officials’ parliamentary appointments. The opening event was attended by MPs, members of the Supreme Judicial Council, experts from the National Assembly, members of the Presidential administration, of the European Commission, as well representatives of the diplomatic corps, NGOs, lawyers and media.
