Judge Sonya Naidenova (parliamentary quota) who was proposed for the post by Georgi Kolev, President of the Supreme Administrative Court, was elected with 17 votes in favor of her nomination. Her candidacy was supported by nearly the entire parliamentary quota, as well as by members of the professional one, amongst who Kamen Ivanov, Kamen Sitnilski, Mihail Kozharev, and the Prosecutor General Boris Velchev.
The other candidate was Yulia Kovacheva, nominated by Kalin Kalpakchiev.
